Version 1

If you have too much text on your creative, Facebook will do one of two things:

  1. Reject the creative
  2. Limit the reach of your ad by putting it in front of the audience less frequently.

You don't want your ad to be penalized because it has too much text.
Currently, text can only cover 20% of your ad. So please, keep the amount of text on your ads at a minimum.
You do have the opportunity to add more text around the ad (headline, text, and news feed description).

Facebook recommends the following for the surrounding text:

  • Text: 90 characters
  • Headline: 40 characters
  • Link description: 20 characters

  • No labels
